Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals within the Residential Care home, including Mental Health Recovery, Gaining independance, learning life skills, attending and making appointmnets.
Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised support and companionship.
Duties
  • Provide patient care to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Support clients with mobility, ensuring their physical well-being.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, promoting their independence or encourage the use of public transport.
  • Maintain a clean and organised environment for clients, contributing to their overall health and happiness.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and other staff members to create a supportive community.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in meantal health or social care is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
  • A commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of all clients at all times.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs. This will include alternate weekends.

Pay: £11.00-£12.50 per hour
