Improving healthcare through better decisions

How can we improve patient experience?

How can we save money whilst driving efficiency?

How can we support clinicians to improve outcomes?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Medicine Board team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s leading hospitals, where you will play an integral part in answering these questions and many more.

We are looking for an analyst who is passionate about transforming and improving the lives and care of patients, through supporting clinicians and managers across the clinical board in data analytics. We are looking for a highly motivated, inquisitive and intellectual individual who will relish a challenge.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work on their own and as part of a team.

You will be able to demonstrate skills in quantitative analysis, data exploration, management, and modelling. A willingness to engage with clinical and managerial staff to understand how best to provide data to meet their, often ambiguous, requirements, is essential. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate :

  • Proven experience of producing and interpreting analytical datasets - including manipulating data sets, analysing data, presenting findings in appropriate formats and making recommendations
  • Data visualisation and reporting (e.g. Power BI, Python, R)
  • Programming in relational databases ( eg. SQL)

Successful candidates will be shortlisted based upon how they meet the essential and desirable criteria set out in the Person Specification.

If you are ready for the challenge, this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a small, friendly team providing analytical support to a range of specialties within the Medicine clinical board,
