Electrical Engineer – Defence Sector (Electronic Testability Services)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Defence sector team, specializing in Electronic Testability Services. In this critical role, you will ensure our products meet rigorous testability and quality standards, contributing directly to the success of our operations and the satisfaction of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Definition of Test Equipment Requirements:
  • Identify and define the necessary test equipment and infrastructure for the successful evaluation of electronic products.
  • Ensure that test equipment meets the technical, functional, and production requirements of the product.
  • Deployment of Diagnostic Strategies for Production:
  • Design, implement, and optimize diagnostic strategies to enable efficient and accurate production testing.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and processes to identify and resolve potential issues in the production environment.
  • Verification of Test Coverage:
  • Analyze and verify the test coverage of current and future products to ensure comprehensive validation of customer needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of test coverage and testing methodologies.
  • Collaboration with Manufacturing and Production Design Support Teams:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing and Production Design Support, to coordinate and execute production test activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to enhance the reliability and efficiency of production test processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the defence or aerospace sector.
  • Strong understanding of electronic test equipment and diagnostic strategies.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and improving test coverage.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to commute to Bristol or Stevenage for work requirements.
  • Security Clearance (SC) is mandatory.
  • Must be a British National.
