Job overview

UHDB Pharmacy Department is looking to appoint two enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Senior Pharmacy Technician to work within the Digital Team.

The post holder will work within the ever-evolving area of the pharmacy department and key deliverables include supporting the electronic prescribing pharmacist and wider project team in the transition between electronic prescribing systems as part of the paper-lite agenda.

They will also be responsible for general Pharmacy IT system amendments, support with stock control, support end user training and deputise for the Chief Technician where appropriate.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual that possesses good communication skills. Full training on all system used will be provided no previous experience need.

Main duties of the job

Assists in the management and maintenance of the Pharmacy Stock Control and Finance Computer System, Cancer prescribing system and the Trust EPR system.

Assist with the management and maintenance of the Pharmacy and Trust automation systems.

Assists in the management of the Pharmacy stock checking and reporting process.

Produce reports for Pharmacy Managers/Directorate Pharmacists detailing drug usage and expenditure.

Work across sites on Rotation bases when needed.
