Junior QA Position is Part time - 2 days a week working between Mon – Fri (days to be discussed with successful applicant)

Salary: £15,400.00pa

Key Responsibilities:

  • QA Schedule Support: Assist in ensuring all QA schedules are completed on time, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Non-Conformance Assistance: Support in investigating foreign body incidents and site non-conformance reports, working towards
satisfactory resolution.
  • Traceability & Product Status: Help with basic traceability tasks and manage materials/finished products on QA HOLD, following
through to release or rejection.
  • Approval & Rejection Processes: Assist in checking, logging, and approving/rejecting concessions with guidance.
  • Incident Management Support: Provide support in managing glass and hard plastic breakages, bodily fluid incidents, and
associated audit schedules.
  • GMP & Audits: Participate in GMP and Black bin audits, and help coach the operations team on maintaining Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP) standards.
  • Product Analysis & Goods Intake: Gain experience by assisting with Product Analyst duties and acquiring basic knowledge of
Goods Intake processes.
  • Additional Duties: Take on additional tasks as directed by the QA Manager to support business needs.
  • Health, Safety & Environment Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to promoting a safe working environment and a culture of safety across all teams.
  • Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:
  • Learn the principles of Critical Control Points (CCP’s) and how to apply them effectively.
  • Assist in taking appropriate actions when a CCP fails to maintain food safety.
  • Support in executing food safety schedules for micro testing, including hand swabs, water, air plates, listeria, allergen, and
ATP swabbing according to QA schedules.
  • Help with product testing for micro, shelf life, nutrition, and QUID as needed.

  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with strong time management skills, capable of working both independently and within
a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Organized with a curious and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Communication: Able to work effectively with different departments and communicate clearly with team members and management.
  • Team Player: A supportive team member, willing to learn and quick to escalate issues when necessary.
