The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes in the absence of a regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task.
- Deliver pre-set work to students, managing classroom behaviour and providing support where needed.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff, helping to create a positive learning environment.
- Work flexibly across different schools, providing cover on a day-to-day or long-term basis.
- Flexibility: Choose the days you work, perfect for balancing other commitments.
- Variety: Work in a range of schools across Southampton and gain valuable experience in different environments.
- No Planning or Marking: As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll have all the benefits of teaching without the extra workload.
- Support and Training: We offer CPD and training to help you succeed in the role.
- Experience working with young people, ideally in an education setting.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to adapt to different school environments.
