Your new role
As Senior Facilities Manager, you will be accountable for providing professional leadership and management services to develop a multi-disciplinary FM Services team for a defined area of the LB of Croydon commercial property portfolio. You will plan and deliver FM services in accordance with the ongoing guidelines approved by the council in line with government advice and policy. Key duties will include:
- Manage the efficient and cost-effective delivery of soft and hard FM services.
- Develop best practise and new initiatives for the FM service delivery teams.
- Responsible for soft / hard services budgets.
- Contribute to the planning and direction of the FM Team to ensure the implementation of the council's strategy for the built estate.
- Contribute as a member of the FM senior management team to agreed strategic objectives, targets and initiatives.
- Manage, direct and control outsourced FM services.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will require relevant experience as a facilities manager overseeing delivery across a large public sector estate. You will require in-depth knowledge and experience in order to manage hard and soft facilities services for commercial properties owned by the borough. You will also require:
- A relevant property/facilities/maintenance degree.
- Senior facilities management experience.
- Relevant professional membership (IWFM, CIBSE, RICS, CIOB etc.)
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management experience.
- In-depth facilities management knowledge including all relevant statutory and regulatory legislation.
- Proven track record in managing hard and soft FM functions.

- £70,000 - £75,000 salary.
