Job Description
Your role
Goods in-out, storage and shop-floor management
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
  • Managing all warehouse operations including all inbound and outbound deliveries, processes and stock checks
  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory level
Cost control
  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
  • Schedule and oversee the warehouse team to meet the demands of the customers, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
Team management
  • Implement productivity, quality, and customer-service related key performance indicators (KPI) by embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Managing a team of permanent and temporary workers, managing holidays, absences, arranging cover and overtime,
  • Empowering and developing yourself and your teams to their full potential with encouragement and training
  • Train warehouse team with SOPs to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
Info sharing and cooperation
  • Regularly report on warehouse planning, budgeting and productivity up to Director level.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Understand and implement the company strategy, create and maintain an environment of continual improvement that supports company objectives and growth.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments, i.e. HR, Customer Service, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Liaise and negotiating with customers, suppliers and service partners.
(Included but not limited to)
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operation
  • Using real-time data collection to increase accuracy and lower labour costs
  • Maintaining computerized administration, stock inventory and retrieval systems
  • Inspecting and approving the quality and quantity of goods or equipment received and shipped out
  • Enforcing health standards, safety, and security procedures

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of Logistics management experience is essential.
  • A logistics Distribution and supply chain background in warehousing
  • Have worked for a warehousing fulfillment previously or dedicated customer contract- Advantageous.
  • Have managed more than 100+ staff previously and understand inbound pick-pack
  • Experience within an E-Commerce / Retail environment or Reverse logistics - Advantageous.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be results-driven and commercially minded.
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Committed to learning about business and industry knowledge.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
