About the Role
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them succeed in a welcoming, inclusive environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored support
- Assisting with classroom activities and implementing personalized learning plans
- Supporting students with physical, emotional, and social needs
- Collaborating with teachers and SEND coordinators to track progress and adjust strategies
- Experience or qualifications in SEND or related fields are advantageous
- A compassionate, patient, and positive approach to working with children
- Ability to communicate effectively and build trust with students
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (DBS clearance required)
