We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dedicated team in a specialist SEN school located in Crawley West Sussex.
The location is ideal for candidates residing in nearby towns and villages such as Southwater, Pulborough, Cowfold, Henfield, and Rudgwick—all within a 20-minute commute.

Duties As an HLTA, you will be based in a specialist SEN school catering to both primary and secondary-age children. The school is led by a fantastic Principal and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. You will work with children who have a range of disabilities, including physical, neurological, or sensory impairments, providing valuable support in the classroom and ensuring they receive the highest quality education.
Support class teachers to enhance student learning and attainment.Encourage student independence, self-esteem, and problem-solving abilities.
Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
Working with individual students, groups, or whole classes under the teacher’s guidance.
Follow the school's marking and assessment policy to track and report on student progress.
Provide exciting learning experiences that help students reach their potential.
Be a role model and manage support team members in the classroom.
CriteriaA recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
Experience working with children with Specialist Educational Needs.
