At our pre-clinical development site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire , we are currently recruiting for a Scientific Data Processor to join our team in the Genetic Toxicology department.
You will be responsible for analyzing slides generated from Genetic Toxicology Studies.
Responsible for scoring microscope slides to assess cells for cytotoxicity, maintains analysis documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines and works to GLP/ Data Integrity requirements. Also assists with study and slide preparation/archiving.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Score slides for cytotoxicity
- Maintain study documentation in compliance to regulatory guidelines (analysis results)
- Work to GLP
- Responsible for ensuring data is produced, documented and reported to high standards of quality at all times as required by GLP and Data Integrity regulations
- Maintains current domestic regulatory awareness
- Completes work accurately and within the required timelines
- Is responsible and accountable for the safe packaging and return of slides and any associated documentation for each study scored
- Maintains chain of custody of any slides and data that are the property of Labcorp and the associated Sponsor
- Demonstrates the ability to score any of the following toxicity assessment end points as requested by Genetic Toxicology:
- Replication Index scoring
- Mitotic Index Toxicity scoring
- PCE:NCE Ratio
- Completes all Controlled Document reading and any required training courses that are issued to the Analyst via the Learning Management System
- All aspects of slide preparation
- Coding of slides
- Archiving of slides
- Study preparation (labelling)
- Cold room purge (study tubes)

Education:
- Educated to BSc level in a relevant life science subject or equivalent
Skills / Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Practice
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information
- Excellent organisational skills and used to working to tight deadlines
- Familiarity with standard spreadsheet and word-processing software applications
- Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
