The Role
We are seeking to recruit a Data Analyst to provide the data gathered from our flow monitors which are installed at various sites across the UK. Flow Monitoring is the measurement of water depth and velocity, mainly through pipelines. This is combined with rain gauge data to monitor the performance of our waste water network.
As a Data Analyst, your role is critical to service we provide to our customers. You will have a set list of projects to own and control and will:
- Accurately record the status of each water flow monitoring device, highlighting and explaining any issues that arise to internal teams
- Analyse and edit water flow data, highlighting and explaining any issues that arise to internal teams and clients
- Analyse and edit Water Quality River data, highlighting and explaining any issues that arise to internal teams and clients
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their projects, highlighting to them when you feel that they have the data they require to complete the project
Role Requirements
The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple projects and competing priorities, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You must demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and a high level of customer service
Ideally you will have work experience in a related field and / or degree level education with a hydrological element, however experience in this industry is not essential as you will be taught everything you need to know to do a great job.
You will be positive, friendly and flexible and enjoy working closely with others in a small team. You must also demonstrate the ability to:
- Analyse patterns in data
- Communicate well with colleagues and customers
- Manage your own workload
All candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Most of our team is based out of our Leeds office. Our customers are nationwide. Office and administration work is carried out flexibly, based upon the best location for your work that day. This means that work can be carried out from home, from a client’s office or from our Leeds office, depending upon your work schedule and meetings with others.
You are empowered to choose where to work, depending on your own and the business needs. It is preferable, but not essential that our successful candidate lives within reasonable travelling distance from our Leeds office as this will help create a maintain good relationships with our site teams.
You will be required to attend the Leeds office on regular occasions, but not daily.
