We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years practise experience. Ideally they will have had previous occupational experience or exposure to people who require immunisations and screening. They will be based at Homerton to support a new contract that has recently commenced.

The Employee Wellbeing Service, supports Barst Health staff and external contracts by providing protection, prevention and promotion of holistic health. There is a team of clinical and administrative staff, occupational heath Doctors, psychologists and physiotherapist in the Employee Well-being services.

The aim is to contribute to patient care effectively and safely by ensuring staff are supported at work.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work as part of a team, as well as undertaking routine occupational health activities (with appropriate training) including:
  • Immunisations
  • Venepuncture
  • Spirometry and audiology
  • Vision Screening
  • Audiometry
  • Pre-employment Health Assessments
  • Assist with the Blood Borne Virus Exposure Processes
You will respond to enquiries over email and on the telephone using our WeCare values to deliver a high standard of customer service.

This is an ideal opportunity for a nurse (with an interest in occupational health) to join the Employee Wellbeing Service. It is an opportunity to work in a very busy service and there is an expectation of cross-site working within the Trust

The successful candidate will have the opportunity for further training and development to enable them to undertake the full remit of the post. You will work closely with the team who will support your induction and further training.
