The Advanced Neurotherapies Centre (ANTC)* is part of a network of infrastructure centres funded by the Welsh Government, via Health and Care Research Wales. Led by Prof. William Gray, the Centre is focussed on developing and delivering advanced therapies to the human brain.

We seek to employ a pro-active and self-motivated Project Support Officer to provide comprehensive and professional administrative support to the Advanced Neurotherapies Centre, assisting in the operational aspects of supporting the delivery of a research programme.

Working closely with the Director and Manager, you will perform a variety of administrative, financial and reporting duties within an exciting programme of work, liaising with academic and clinical colleagues as well as people with lived experience or neurological and neurodegenerative disease in our BRAIN Involve group.

  • The Advanced Neurotherapies Centre is currently known as the Brain Repair and Intracranial Neurotherapeutics (BRAIN) Unit and will officially re-brand in April 2025.

This post is part-time (28 hours per week), available from 1st September 2024 and fixed term until 31st March 2028, Based between the Hadyn Ellis Building, Cathays campus and University Hospital Wales, Heath Park campus.

Salary: £26,444 - £29,605 per annum, pro-rata (Grade 4). Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.

The majority of roles at Cardiff University are currently operating under “blended working” arrangements, with staff having the flexibility to work partly from home and partly from the University campus depending on specific business requirements.

Discussions around these arrangements can take place after the successful candidate has been appointed.
