Vacancy - Quality Inspector
We are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector for our manufacturing client on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
- To adhere to and manage Company procedures (ISO 9001 relating to all production and quality activities) to ensure complete company compliance to the relevant customer specification requirements.
- To conduct in a professional courteous manner with all customer and supplier liaisons which demonstrates the Company’s commitment to the highest standard of quality and efficiency.
- To ensure all customer required documentation and identification of goods is to the required standards and that traceability is maintained throughout the process cycle.
- Roles & Responsibilities to inspection of work is adhered to.
- To provide a technical service assisting production personnel on quality related activities.
- To ensure production is dealt with and moved through the factory to meet delivery requirements.
- To control the inspection approval of components for 1st off, random(s) and finals prior to shipment to the customer as per the roles and responsibilities inspection of work document.
- To raise 8D reports for internal & customer NCRs. Assisting completion with operators when required.
- Raise SCARs on suppliers if goods found to be in non-conformance.
- To record and maintain scrap records for all scrap production, ensuring corrective action is implemented wherever appropriate.
- Familiar with Aberlink CNC CMM (or similar) programming is desirable.
- To raise quality alerts/awareness if required.
- To ensure the routine calibration approvals of all inspection measuring facilities.
- To contact customers and suppliers to deal with any quality issues regarding the manufacture of parts.
- To work with the other members of the management team, to ensure a joint and constructive approach.
- To gain up to date knowledge of customers quality requirements and ensure these requirements are met.
- Reporting directly into the QHSE Manager and performing all relating tasks to the area.
Knowledge and operational requirements needed:
- ISO standards
- Good Knowledge of Measuring Equipment e.g. CMMs, Projector/Shadowgraph, Trimos Height Gauge’s etc
- All recorded evidence of parts made, reworked, and scrapped are recorded correctly.
- To ensure all NCR documentation is completed.
- To ensure Continuous improvements are made within the area.
