Summary of the Role:

We are seeking a driven, experienced, sales professional to join the HLTH team in London to lead sales efforts for international pavilions and delegations across our global events.

You will be both a skilled account manager as well as a new business hunter. Success will require operating well in ambiguity and having patience and tenacity to negotiate complicated sales working collaboratively with numerous in-country partners.

Your core measure of success will be growing the presence of international pavilions and delegations to HLTH’s global event series.

You will inherit valuable relationships while actively working hard to bring new government, agency and country-led pavilions to our events, comprising a combination of exhibit booths and also ticket sales.

This is a high impact and fast-paced client facing role requiring a relationship-driven approach. Ideally, you will have a solid understanding of the healthcare ecosystem globally, and/or experience working with foreign direct investment agencies and other government entities.

This position is based in the United Kingdom with a minimum of three days a week in our London office. It also requires international travel.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Seek, hunt and close new government and foreign direct investment groups for HLTH’s global events through selling country pavilions and/or ticket bundles
  • Work closely, and build deep relationships with, said government groups to understand their objectives and clearly communicate these measures of success to the wider HLTH event teams
  • Represent HLTH internationally at relevant meetings and conferences and communicating passionately about our mission
  • Manage and grow existing international pavilion relationships and increase spend on these accounts through consultative selling
  • Work closely with pavilion owners to recruit and onboard companies to their pavilions
  • Collaborate across HLTH’s global marketing, content, logistics and partnership teams to create new sales opportunities for international pavilions and delegations
  • Creation and delivery of creative, solutions-centred sponsorship proposals that deliver value for our clients
  • Develop a clear understanding of each account’s measures of success, and communicate those clearly to the rest of the event team
  • Gain client insight to inform our future event development strategy to create innovative new propositions and fresh commercial opportunities
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products, our competitive landscape, and client ecosystem to enable high level credibility to maximise revenue
  • Be an internal advocate for our international clients, working closely with management, marketing, content, platforms and customer success teams
  • Exceed all event revenue, contract growth and customer number targets

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven top sales performer with an extensive track record of event sponsorship sales to senior level client contacts
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Relentlessly client focused
  • Proactive with entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and leverage relationships both internally and externally
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable
  • Creative problem solver with a solutions mindset
