As a Hardware and Mechatronics graduate, you’ll support us throughout the design and verification process by utilising both Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) to deliver engineering specifications.
You’ll use state-of-the-art engineering equipment and software to help you design the electromechanical control systems of the future.
During this two-year long programme, you could be working across a number of specialisms – rotating through different teams, building cross-functional relationships and collaborating with different stakeholders as you deliver innovative engineering solutions.

Rewards and benefits Our 2025 graduate programme salary is £32,000, with a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to JLR.
After two years, you will progress from the graduate programme on a £39,000 salary.

To join the Product Engineering: Hardware and Mechatronics Graduate Programme, you’ll need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in mechanical, electronic, electrical, software, chemical, aeronautical, automotive, material or environmental engineering, aerospace computer science, mechatronics, maths or physics.
You should be a skilled problem-solver with a curiosity for understanding business challenges and a drive to deliver innovative solutions.Strong interpersonal skills, along with the confidence to champion new initiatives, are also essential.
JLR’s graduate programmes are not eligible for sponsorship and therefore, we will only accept applications for this programme from candidates with the unrestricted right to work in the UK for an indefinite period (if you are on a tier 4 student visa or a graduate route visa you are not eligible to apply to this programme).
