About The RoleThis is a fixed-term, full time role until September 2027.
This role is part of a larger ESRC grant on People, Places, and the Public Sphere that has been awarded to the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research and Data (WISERD). Based on the Singleton campus, the post holder will support and feed into an established team to deliver on research around the extent to which cultural capital serves as a micro-economic powered endogenous resource for regional and place-based development.The role will need high-level technical, econometric and data manipulation skills to produce, and ultimately disseminate, research findings. An ability to use econometric software and manipulate large-scale survey datasets are given pre-requisites.
There is also an expectation that the findings that emerge from this work will be disseminated across a variety of media, and that the post holder will be at the forefront of this dissemination activity.
