About the Role:We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at a highly regarded secondary school in Camberley. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with Key Stage 5 possible for the right candidate) in an engaging and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a love of literature and language, promoting strong literacy skills, and helping students achieve their potential in English.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their best, nurturing a positive attitude toward learning and critical thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help each student improve.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of engaging curriculum materials, including incorporating modern texts and digital resources.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and extracurricular activities that enhance students' educational experience.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a degree in English or a related subject.
- Previous teaching experience in secondary education is preferred, but NQTs are encouraged to apply.
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to inspire and challenge students of varying abilities.
- A collaborative, proactive approach to working with colleagues, students, and parents.
