Who are we recruiting forWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Sales Engineer for our client, a global provider of proven wind propulsion technology dedicated to driving a more sustainable future for the shipping industry. With a focus on reducing emissions by up to 30, our client is poised for rapid growth and significant market expansion, aiming for 50 Rotor Sail installations per year by 2025.Recognized with numerous industry awards, including the Marine Fuels 360 Awards 2023 for 'Decarbonisation Technology,' our client is a leader in innovative, safe, and effective solutions that reduce the environmental impact of shipping.
What will you be doing
Taking ownership of technical responses to proposals and bidsSupporting the sales team in crafting commercial proposals
Providing high-level technical advice to clients on Rotor Sail implementation, including rotor positioning and installation challenges, in collaboration with the Engineering team
Producing Technical Requirement Specifications tailored to each customer/partner
Conducting Fuel Saving Assessments FSA
Managing the handover of new projects to the project team for implementation
Building and maintaining relationships with technical leaders at client/partner sites
Managing the company CRM system
Participating in client meetings, marketing initiatives, and business development activities both locally and internationally
Are you the ideal candidate
Degree or equivalent qualification in marine engineering/technology or Naval ArchitectureA sincere interest in the shipping industry
A strong technical background with experience in B2B sales
Proficiency in Matlab and CAD
Experience working in an international business environment
Confident with the ability to discuss customer technical needs
A “Can Do” attitude and a willingness to both learn and share knowledge
Client-facing experience with strong relationship-building skills
Results-driven with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Cross-cultural awareness and commercial acumen
