Band 2 HCA job in A&E Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 2 Health care assistant to join our team in ED and Urgent Care Centre.
Main duties of the job
Previous experience within the NHS or care sector is desirable but not essential. We have a training development programme in place to support learning and develop you into a competent ED health care assistant. After this you will be able to carry out tasks such as Personal care, Observations, Venapuncture/cannulation, ECGs and Plastering.

We will be holding an A&E specific recruitment day. This will consist of speakers, tabletop exercises and face to face interview.

Essential criteria- Experience in NHS / GP practice
- Acute experience/AED experience

Desirable criteria- Cannulation and Venepuncture
- ECG
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this affects patients, visitors and staff
- Understanding of what the NHS Constitution means to you, and your responsibilities to the public, patients and colleagues.
Qualifications
Essential criteria- NVQ Level 2 in Health or Health and Social Care or a QCF Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health or Health and Social Care
