Position Summary: The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for assisting in the analysis, delivery and support of all Martin Brower IT Infrastructure across multiple sites & distribution centres within the UK and Ireland. The person in this role will be responsible for leading delivery of local infrastructure projects, as well as resolution of level 2 requests, coordinating with level 3 resources, project managers and external technical support as necessary.

Major duties & responsibilities:
Communication- Following best practice incident management processes, including problem management where appropriate
- Work with our global vulnerability team to remediate vulnerabilities in our infrastructure
- Create support and process documentation, ensuring the knowledgebase is continually updated.
- Adherence to ensure all calls are logged, recorded and reviewed monthly to support our culture of continuous improvement.
- Implement the agreed strategy of technical solutions and platforms, including supporting the opening of 2 new sites in 2025
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- 2+ years related experience, to include:
- Solid understanding of distributed systems infrastructure components and architectures including those supporting telecommunications, network, security, servers, databases, and software
- Real world support experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Experience working with managed service providers and partners, and managing them through investigations and changes to ensure they are delivering to agreed SLAs/project timelines
- Experience working within tightly controlled, security first infrastructure where the security implications of everything we do must be continually assessed, and any risks mitigated as a priority
- Ability to work in a 24x7 on-call IT organization - Additional remuneration for off-hours support on a rotating basis as necessary – up to 1 week in every 5
