Job Summary: We are looking for a qualified Gas and Plumbing Engineer to handle installations, repairs, and maintenance of gas and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both gas and plumbing systems, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, heating systems, and plumbing fixtures (e.g., boilers, radiators, sinks, toilets, and pipes).
- Conduct safety checks to ensure gas installations meet industry regulations.
- Diagnose and resolve gas and plumbing-related faults efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance, emergency callouts, and installation projects.
- Accurately document work completed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients about work performed.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with other engineers and support staff on larger projects when necessary.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications, such as Gas Safe registration (essential).
- Experience in gas installation, maintenance, and repair (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of gas safety standards and regulations.
- Full UK driving license (or relevant license for your location).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional qualifications, such as electrical or plumbing certification.
Working Conditions:
- You will typically work in residential and commercial properties undergoing gas and /or plumbing works.
- The job may involve working indoors or outdoors, depending on the project requirements and weather conditions.
