Job Summary:
Pay: From £38,000.00 per year
We are looking for an experienced Plumber and Bathroom Fitter to manage the installation, repair, and maintenance of bathroom fixtures, plumbing systems, and sanitary ware. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in bathroom fitting, alongside strong plumbing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Install and fit bathrooms, including showers, bathtubs, sinks, toilets, and tiling.
- Carry out all associated plumbing work, including pipework, drainage, and water supply installations.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing faults, leaks, and blockages.
- Work closely with clients to ensure the bathroom design and installation meet their expectations.
- Perform routine plumbing maintenance and emergency callouts when required.
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and complies with industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and complete relevant documentation.
- Provide professional advice to clients on bathroom layouts, materials, and finishes.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Plumbing or equivalent).
- Proven experience in bathroom fitting and plumbing installations (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of bathroom design and layout principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients.
- Full UK driving license (or relevant license for your region).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable:
- Experience with tiling, flooring, and other related skills.
- Knowledge of electrical work or the ability to work alongside electricians (advantageous but not essential).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Plumbing or equivalent).
Working Conditions:
- You will typically work in residential and commercial properties undergoing renovations or new installations.
- The job may involve working indoors or outdoors, depending on the project requirements and weather conditions.
