LAW Absolute are looking to recruit an Employment Lawyer with at least 4 years pqe to join a global FMCG/Pharma company for an 8 month contract.

Working as part of the dedicated employment law team, the role will work closely with the group HR function, business units and the wider legal team, providing sound legal advice to promote company interests and minimise legal risk. It will involve providing both contentious and non-contentious advice and also liaising with external counsel advice as needed.
Supporting the HR function on employee relations could be anything from grievances and disciplinaries through to employment contracts and absence management. There will also be more wider corporate support advice around restructuring/redundancies and TUPE work with new or existing contracts.

This work will be underpinned by providing advice around risk, as well as risk mitigation and strategies to support this.

The role offers excellent exposure working directly with business stakeholders and the HR team and there is a varied and interesting spectrum of work. Due to the team taking on a specific project, the team are looking to recruit an additional lawyer to join the team for eight months to help manage their current workload.

It is based in central London and offers hybrid working with three days in the office. The role will start within the next four weeks.

Suitable candidates must be specialist employment lawyers, and have at least four years of post qualified experience. Candidates qualified in other Commonwealth jurisdictions outside of England & Wales will be considered if they have at least six months of UK employment law, gained working in the UK in practice or in-house.

In line with working for a global listed business, their requirement is candidates who have trained in a top 200 practice working with listed or sizeable corporates.
