Teaching Assistant Needed – Plymouth Primary School
Location: PlymouthStart Date: After Easter- 22nd April 2025
Working Hours: Full-time
Pay: Competitive – £90 to £105 per day
We’re currently looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Plymouth after the Easter break. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and making a difference in the classroom.

About the Role:
- Full-time position in a welcoming Plymouth primary school
- Year group flexible based on your strengths and experience
- Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom
Typical TA Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils needing extra help
- Assisting with classroom management and setting up activities
- Helping to create a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
- Supporting children with SEND or behavioural needs where required
- Encouraging pupil participation and promoting positive behaviour
Requirements:
- Experience working with children (school-based experience is advantageous)
- TA qualification desirable but not essential
- A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new one
- Strong communication skills, patience, and enthusiasm for education
