Legal Secretary – Conveyancing | IMMEDIATE START NEEDED
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Legal Secretary on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire on a temporary to permanent basis.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience within an administrative role and will be fully proficient using Microsoft Applications.
Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00am – 17:00pm with 1 hour for lunch | Office based.
Salary: £24,000 per annum DOE.
Duties include but not limited to:- Receiving post and scanning onto our systems.
- Answering the telephone.
- Corresponding via email.
- Opening files.
- Preparing client care documentation.
- Ordering searches (search packs and pre-exchange searches i.e. OS1s, bankruptcy searches, Lawyer Checker).
- Updating/chasing agents.
- Dealing with post completion matters i.e. AP1s, SDLTs.
- Dealing with exchange/completion letters.
- Closing files.
- 2+ years’ experience within a legal secretary role is essential.
- Conveyancing background is preferred.
- Fully proficient with Microsoft applications and have experience of audio typing (preferably legal) and handling client enquiries.
- Excellent communication skills.
