Senior Accountant- Education

Resourcery Group is exclusively supporting an established and highly reputable education provider in Liverpool. This organisation has a robust finance team and is seeking a professional Senior Accountant to join them.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Manage financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Produce external reports.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, leading by example.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure financial controls are in place, seeking best practises.
• Produce monthly management accounts.
• Responsible for fixed asset register.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.

Requirements:

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Ideally looking for a candidate with an Education sector background, but this is not essential.

• £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.
• Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
