An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the therapy team in a static role within Orthopaedics.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Physiotherapist with a strong interest in Orthopaedics to become a part of our well-established multi-disciplinary team. You will receive support from our experienced band 7 therapists.

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, with the expectation to participate in the weekend and respiratory on-call rota.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with acute trauma patients and an interest in supporting both trauma and elective patients. The role requires the flexibility to work across both Watford General Hospital and St Albans City Hospital.

We provide opportunities for professional development and training to help you enhance your specialist skills in line with your PDR goals.

The successful candidate would be providing highly skilled physiotherapy assessment and treatment to Orthopaedic inpatients across both Watford General and St Albans City Hospital including elective, trauma and fractured neck of femur patients.

The successful candidate will join a growing integrated team of OT’s and Physio’s and will have the opportunity to develop both their clinical and supervisory skills.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering excellent Orthopaedic care and contributing to service development projects.

Excellent clinical reasoning and therapy handling skills are a prerequisite for this post.

With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.

The post holder will also contribute to the service training program, helping to develop staff competence in managing orthopaedic patients.
