Are you a proactive Learning Support Assistant?

Tradewind is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in South Manchester. Experience working as a TA is essential, and prior experience in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is highly desirable.

  • Location: South Manchester
  • Start Date: Full-time, starting after the October half-term
  • Class: Year 2
  • Pay: £84 - £90 per day, depending on experience

Year 2 Learning Support Assistant Role:

As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in supporting the progress and development of a Year 6 class. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Providing one-on-one support to pupils facing learning challenges, helping them understand the curriculum.
  • Preparing teaching materials and organising resources for lessons.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Collaborating with key stage staff and the wider team to share resources, advice, and best practices.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant TA qualifications
  • Strong references supporting prior experience
  • A full CV covering your employment history
  • Right to work in the UK
