We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join our Neurodevelopmental Portfolio.

Base: Anglesey House, Rugeley
Hours: 37.5hrs hours per week

Pay scale: Band 4

This is a fantastic opportunity to fulfil the role of Business Support Officer in our Neurodevelopmental Portfolio. The post holder will provide business support to the Service Manager for the Neurodevelopmental portfolio, which includes CYP Autism, Children’s LD and Keyworker services.
You will establish and maintain a business support infrastructure, necessary to assist the Teams in meeting the Trust, regional and national objectives and targets. This will include the development of systems and processes to monitor performance against the Trust’s Key Performance Indicators.

An excellent knowledge of data interpretation and management is required.

Main duties of the job

To analyse reports and extract data from all report formats for all Key Performance Indicators (Quantity & Quality) and feed this back to Service Manager and Operational Team Leaders in a format that can be used within Services/Teams for planning and supervision purposes.

Required to have the authority/ability to approach individual clinicians and highlight performance issues and request action. To escalate poor performance/compliance as necessary via the Operational Team Leaders with a requirement to further escalate if deemed necessary via Service Manager.

To work with Corporate Services to identify areas of under-recording of clinical activity and work within the Services/Teams to improve recording and data quality.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 Business Administration (or equivalent level of experience)
  • OCR/ RSA III or equivalent experience
  • To undertake training, where necessary to ensure own personal development and to develop new skills necessary to successfully carry out duties of this post.
Desirable criteria
  • BTEC Diploma in Business Administration (Level 1)

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant experience in administration duties
  • Previous experience of setting up office/administrative systems
  • Experience of analytical processes
  • Good working knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise own workload and act on own initiative to agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, schedule and organise day to day work
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of Mental Health Services
  • Experience in the NHS
