OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

The accounts assistant’s main responsibility is to ensure that the Aviation invoices are raised in a timely and accurate manner. Ensuring that the billing reaches the customer with the required supporting documentation mostly on a monthly cycle.

Additionally the accounts assistant role supports the credit control team with daily reporting and cash allocation.

Other Duties:

  • Dealing with invoice queries
  • Raising Invoices/Credits for UK & IRE
  • Creating Monthly contract lines for UK & IRE
  • Sending Invoices for UK & IRE
  • Uploading invoices to customer portals
  • Completing customer setup forms
  • Creating new Projects/contracts
  • Updating payment terms
  • Maintaining communications with account managers to chase PO's and outstanding billing
  • Managing Revenue Accruals during billing period
  • Assisting with Audit requests
  • Liaise with Credit Control
  • Assisting with Cash Allocation
  • Issuing daily cash tracker
  • Setting up bank payments
  • Support credit control with reporting requirements
  • Refreshing ledgers daily
  • Other requested tasks by manager

Person Specification:

  • Must be flexible and have a can-do attitude
  • Be comfortable delivering against challenging time restraints
  • Be a strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Previous working experience in a similar role is preferrable
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation, planning and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion or other accounting package
  • Excellent attention to detail and fluency with numbers
  • Proficiency in use of MS office / in particular intermediate knowledge of Excel
