Accounts Assistant

My client a reputable airline (back office based in Central London) are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is ideal for someone with a strong background in general accounting wanting a long term career with a company who will offer progression and development throughout your Accounting career.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Accounts Payable (creating and posting all daily payment runs in multi currencies)
• Monitor business transactions, and log financial expenditures such as receipts and expenses.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and liaise with internal employees and external vendors.
• Resolve discrepancies in accounts.
• Contact and liaise with HMRC for tax payments and any account queries.
• Perform general accounts administration

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1- 2 years of experience in general accounting.
• Japanese speaker preferred.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail
• Organised and be able to manage tasks
