Purovets are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join the team at a five-site practice group in Suffolk on a permanent basis. They can offer a variety of exciting and fulfilling roles to suit the right candidate's needs. Generally, their vets work a split of operating and consulting at the main practice and across the four other branches, which offers opportunities to gain support in surgery and evolve your skills.

However, if you prefer working with a smaller team or consult-only roles, they can offer an adapted position at one of the branch practices.

This position could be either full-time for 38 hours a week over 4 days, or it can be part-time. The vets also cover 1 in 5 Saturday mornings with either a day off the following week in lieu or the hours can be factored into your weekly hours if preferred.
There are no nights or on-call duty. The weekly vet rota includes daily admin time and regular scheduled breaks, and they ensure everyone gets their well-deserved lunch break. They like to support their vets and encourage them to follow areas of interest.

Recently, they have supported vets through completing surgery and medicine certificates, as well as improving skills in imaging and ophthalmology.

They are a progressive first opinion practice with excellent facilities, and they accept regular local referrals in CT scanning and TPLOs. As well as an experienced team of vets, you will be supported by a team of excellent registered veterinary nurses.
They are a training practice currently supporting student RVNs and ANAs. The support team consists of exceptional receptionists, admin and maintenance/cleaning staff along with the Practice Director who is continually working alongside their Clinical Directors to improve the practice for patients, clients and staff.

Much more importantly than this are the team of staff pets that accompany their owners to work, as they have a well utilised bring-your-dog-to-work scheme with staff specific kennelling!

The five practices are situated on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Norfolk Broads National Park, with stunning coastline within a half an hour drive. There are good transport links to London and Norwich has a host of sporting and social events to enjoy in your time off.

Role:

Salary up to £70,000 DOE
4 days, 38 hours a week
1 in 5 Saturday mornings with a day off in lieu
No OOHs
