An amazing and rare opportunity has presented itself for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a fiercely independent, award-winning practice in a well-sought-after market town in Suffolk. Our client has been providing a very high standard of care to the animals of Suffolk for many years, earning an excellent reputation locally and building a loyal client base.

They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least 2-3 years of UK experience who is confident with routine surgeries to join their dedicated team.

Located in a popular market town full of local spirit, independent shops, and fantastic places to eat, the area also boasts a welcoming quay and a friendly boating community. Situated on the Suffolk-Norfolk border, the town lies on the meandering River Waveney in one of East Anglia's most picturesque rural valley settings.

This RCVS-accredited practice is light and spacious with top-notch facilities, including a digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood gases, dental x-ray, high-speed dental machinery, fully equipped operating theatres, K-laser, two new consult rooms, blood pressure monitor, ECG, an endoscope, and an in-house laboratory.

The practice has won numerous awards over the years, including Practice of the Year and an Animal and Wellness Award, of which they are extremely proud.

The fantastic team consists of 4 full-time equivalent vets, one CertAVP with an interest in dermatology, 2 out-of-hours vets on the OOH team, and a night veterinary nurse.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a proudly independent small animal practice and be a part of a dedicated, award-winning team. If you have the required experience and a passion for providing exceptional veterinary care, we would love to hear from you.

The Rota:

Full time role - 4 day week (8.30am - 6.30pm)
1 in 3 weekend rota (8am - 6pm)
1 in 3 OOH rota until 10pm then on-call overnight with a day off in lieu

The Benefits:

Excellent salary up to £70,000
6 weeks annual leave including bank holiday
An extra day off after 5 years
£1,500 CPD allowance
