The Role

The Client Director is responsible for delivering trust, company, and private office services to a defined client base. This position combines relationship management, team leadership, and commercial oversight. Working closely with internal specialists, the Client Director will ensure high service standards while contributing to the firm’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of trust and company structures, ensuring regulatory compliance and service excellence.
  • Oversee client work delivery, ensuring efficient delegation, time recording, and billing.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with legal, accounting, and fellow directors to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Drive business development through existing relationships and professional networks.
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, pitches, and industry events.
  • Lead, coach, and support administration teams, fostering development and high performance.
  • Act as an "A" signatory and take directorships on client entities where required.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the fiduciary or private client sector, with proven leadership and business development expertise.

Key qualifications and attributes:

  • Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, STEP, ICSA).
  • Strong knowledge of trust and company structures and the regulatory landscape.
  • Commercially astute, with understanding of billing, profitability, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management capabilities.
  • Track record of leading and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Commitment to regulatory compliance and professional standards.
