Full-Time, Ongoing Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at an Alternative Provision based in New Milton.
About the Role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH. You will assist teachers in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, provide 1:1 support for students, and help manage any behavioural challenges that may arise.
Your role will be crucial in helping students overcome barriers to learning and enabling them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs.
- Assist in delivering personalised learning activities and interventions.
- Support students in managing emotions and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement learning strategies.
- Foster a nurturing and engaging environment to encourage positive behaviour and academic growth.
- Help with pastoral care and provide guidance as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with young people, especially those with SEMH or behavioural challenges.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- A commitment to supporting and encouraging students to succeed.
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or above in Supporting Teaching and Learning preferred but not essential).

This is a full-time, ongoing role based at a well-established provision, and we are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
