An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated HR professional to join us. This is a great challenge for the right candidate to make a tangible and lasting contribution to the development and stability of the Trust.

The Deputy HR Business Partner will work to support our two non-clinical Divisions. Trust Services is our corporate division, consisting of over 1,000 members of staff working across many areas including Digital Services, Research and Development, Finance, HR, Clinical Governance, Operations and Trust Secretariat.

This vital division ensures the Trust can deliver our many clinical services, by providing back of house functions such as resourcing, informatics, and expert advice and support in areas such as legal and financial.

The second Division is our Division of Estates & Facilities, again consisting of over 1,000 dedicated members of staff, this Division is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean and effective working environment for our colleagues and patients.

As well as maintaining our existing assets, the Division is also responsible for overseeing capital programmes to further develop our buildings.

On a day-to-day basis you will: -

  • Support Divisional Managements teams in planning for significant organisational change e.g. redevelopment, service reconfigurations and TUPE
  • Supporting managers with complex employee relations casework, including being the HR representative on hearing panels
  • Supporting Divisional Management teams in improving compliance with key workforce indicators and performance drivers e.g. recruitment and retention, appraisals and essential training,
  • To undertake specific corporate projects and support delivery of the workforce and organisational development strategy on staff engagement, health and well-being, equality, diversity and inclusion
  • To be an advocate for improving staff experience and lead on Divisional staff experience planning.
  • Assist the HR Business Partner in preparing reports for Divisional Board and other Trust wide meetings

The successful candidate will: -

  • Be CIPD qualified with evidence of continuing professional development as a HR Practitioner.
  • Have significant operational HR knowledge with experience of developing the workforce aspects of operational business plans.
  • Have experience in applying a business partner approach and working with managers to develop services.
  • Be able to apply HR expertise to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Be resilient and adaptable, with experience of influencing and communicating with people of all levels.
