Shooting Stars Nurseries are searching for a dedicated, creative, inspirational early years nursery manager to join and lead our established Worcester team.

Part of a multi award winning, family focused, owned and run group of modern & inspiring day nurseries across the Midlands, providing high-quality childcare in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment in Worcester. Role Description

This is a full-time Nursery Manager role at Shooting Stars Nurseries in Worcester. The Nursery Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure a safe and nurturing environment, lead staff, and work in partnership with families. This role requires on-site presence.

Minimum experience and qualification requirements to apply:

  • Minimum of two years’ post qualification experience, working in an Early Years setting and experience in a manager or deputy manager role.
  • Minimum full and relevant Early Years Level 3 or above childcare qualification as recognised by the Department for Education.
  • Knowledge and experience of; delivering the EYFS, Ofsted inspections and working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Salary: £33,000.000 to £39,000.00 per annum dependent on experience.

Essentials & Key Responsibilities:

  • A genuine passion for Early Years education; ensuring the highest quality of care and teaching is delivered at all times.
  • Strong Communication skills; professionalism, confidence and skills to communicate, build strong relationships and engage effectively with our parents, carers, children and staff.
  • Effective leadership and management abilities; key leadership role, which requires a dedicated, creative & inspiring leader, able to take responsibility for all aspects of managing the nursery.
  • Safeguarding and Safeguarding Children skills; named suitable person in charge of the nursery and responsible for all operational and regulatory aspects, including safeguarding, health and safety practices, child protection in the setting, and maintaining accurate and up to date systems and records at all times.
  • Nursery and Nursery Management experience; directly responsible for the effective leadership of the nursery team, providing training, coaching and mentoring and implementing a robust performance management strategy to ensure service excellence for our current and prospective customers.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and child development.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
