Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching AssistantLocation: Cambridge, United Kingdom
Contract Type: Full-time OR Part-time
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30
Start Date: ASAP OR January 2025
Pay Rate: £12.82 - £14 per hour
What You'll Do:
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students, ensuring their individual learning goals are met.
- Assist with the implementation of specialized learning plans and educational interventions.
- Create and maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the teaching team, parents, and external professionals to develop tailored strategies for each student's progress.
- Monitor and report on students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Support students during outings, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Relevant experience or qualifications in special education (desirable but not essential).
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
