IT Project Manager

The IT Department supports the wide variety of services provided by The Salvation Army in the UK and Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to join the IT Projects team to manage part of the network transformation programme, which is enabling digital transformation within the organisation.
The IT Project Manager will work with stakeholders to understand individual requirements, develop plans and confirm solutions. They will communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery and adoption of the process and technical changes.
The UKI Territory has adopted industry standard project and programme management methodologies and expects IT and IT-related projects to follow PRINCE 2 project management methodology guidelines.
The IT Project Manager will need:
Very good experience and demonstrable success in managing IT projects, delivering them to agreed time, cost and quality criteriaSignificant experience of producing and maintaining project management documentation including project plans, RAID registers, and project status reports
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a proven ability to communicate difficult or complex ideas clearly, often to multiple stakeholder audiences
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate, and develop strong, successful, collaborative working relationships both with colleagues and external suppliers
Excellent organisational skills, methodical, attention to detail, effective time management and the ability to prioritise work, and be able to respond to tight deadlines both as an individual and as part of a team
A recognised Project Management qualification such as Prince IIAn interest or qualifications in a technical field is not required but will be useful.
