We are looking to recruit a Claims and Inquests Coordinator to join our legal services team. The successful applicant will join a busy department which deals with the management of clinical negligence, employer liability and public liability claims for which UCLH is a potential Defendant and for inquests held for UCLH patients.

With a degree or equivalent, you will ideally have a legal or claims management qualification or currently be studying towards one and have an understanding of clinical practices. Excellent team working, organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to problem solve independently is also required.

With an interest in working in this area you will join our small specialist team. You will be providing support to the team in respect to the portfolio of claims and claims reporting.

This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted

This post provides a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a legal interest to gain further experience in dealing with a variety of claims and to produce high level reports pertaining to claims and inquests at Board level

The successful candidate will ideally already possess a high level of knowledge and experience in claims and inquests processing. They will possess strong communication skills and will be confident in dealing with complex queries which may originate from courts, solicitors, and clinicians.

This post is office based.
