Accounts Assistant–£28,000 – Wimbledon Park, London

The Role

Are you highly organised with strong computer skills? Do you have basic accounting knowledge or a willingness to learn? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are one of the country’s leading Architectural Ironmongery specialists, looking to appoint an organised and computer literate Accounts Assistant to our growing team.

Our accounts department is modernising its processes, so this role is ideal for someone with excellent computer skills. While basic accounting knowledge is preferred, full training will be provided.

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Accounts email inbox
  • Signing off stock purchase invoices
  • Inputting stock purchase invoices to accounting software
  • Liaising with suppliers over queried invoices
  • Answering phone calls from suppliers & customers
  • Checking money received in the bank
  • Reconciling daily takings and flagging any discrepancies with management
  • Processing refunds to customers
  • Holiday cover for other members of the team
  • Other ad hoc admin & accounting tasks

  • Computer literacy – Outlook & Excel
  • Basic accounting knowledge preferred
  • Customer service/administration experience preferred
