Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Development Engineer to join our client's team. This position calls for an individual with a strong background in structural and civil engineering, as well as experience in residential development.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the technical coordination and execution of residential projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing quality control, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural and civil engineering design analysis for residential projects.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure technical and engineering requirements are met.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to meet deadlines and budgetary constraints.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to address any structural or engineering issues.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, codes, and standards.
- Review and evaluate project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges during the development process.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with the project team to drive innovation, sustainability, and excellence in residential development.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in structural and civil engineering, preferably within the residential construction industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
