Biomedical Scientist

Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Communicate effectively with clinical staff, laboratory staff and external clients giving technical advice on test results and use of the service
• Responsible for results generated in their work section ensuring that quality standards and departmental policies are followed
• Notify colleagues of unusual and abnormal results
• To act as Team leading BMS over a weekend/bank holiday period

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

• Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Biomedical Scientist.
• A Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent.
• Specialist Portfolio
• Participation in CPD
• Experience of standard diagnostic methods in the relevant pathology discipline.
• At least two year’s post registration experience of working in a diagnostic pathology laboratory in the relevant discipline.
