What's the role?

As a Key Account Manager in building envelope (Façade), you are the face of Hilti and the very foundation of our direct sales model. This role is all about sustainably growing Hilti’s market share within our OEM Portfolio.

What does the role involve?

The role of Key Account Manager for our Building Envelope team is a vital one, driving the success of some of our largest customers. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to:

  • Devise, coordinate and deliver detailed strategies to maximize the profitable potential of the assigned OEM’s focusing on the value proposition of the full system for ventilated façade including cavity barriers.
  • Develop a high-level network within, panel manufacturers, panel system specifiers, engineers, building owners and influencers.
  • Investigate, evaluate and provide specification support to ensure we increase Hilti’s direct and indirect spend in the Building Envelope trade.
  • Responsibilities include close collaboration to relevant stakeholders inside the business to ensure projects meet the performance criteria, schedule and budget expectations.
  • Maintain a high self-drive and commitment to achieve consistent results. You’ll be managing your own time – your vehicle is your office and you’ll be responsible for setting your own diary to ensure you’re visiting your customers when they need you so you need

What you need is:

  • Strong commercial and technical background (ideally within Façade, Firestop or engineering)
  • Strong strategic Account Developmen t experience
  • Excellent negotiating skills in pricing, trading agreements, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in variety of façade systems with a solid understanding of building physics and thermal analysis
  • Strong understanding and experience in façade related drawings and diagrams (knowledge of AutoCAD being an advantage)
  • A full, clean, manual UK driving license to visit our customers on site 5 days a week, Monday to Friday
