About Our Client

Our client is a growing SME Events Management Company, based in London. As they continue to grow they are looking to bring the finance function inhouse by hiring a new Finance & Operations Manager.

Job Description

Finance Manager Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
  • Manage payroll, VAT returns, and HMRC payments
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs
  • Handle accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
  • Manage staff expenses, credit cards, and FX transactions
  • Review/approve POs and budgets in Procim
  • Liaise with accountants (UK/US) and support year-end
  • Train and support Procim users
Operations Manager Responsibilities
  • Manage HR portal, leave, contracts, and appraisals
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Ensure timesheet tracking and freelancer allocation
  • Oversee insurance, NDAs, and contract negotiations
  • Maintain policies, IT, hardware, and compliance
  • Order supplies and assist with team management

The Successful Applicant

The successful Finance & Operations Manager should have:

  • SME Finance Manager / Sole Accountant experience
  • Experience implementing a finance function / systems within a start-up / small business
  • Proficiency in financial software and excel
  • HR / Ops experience is a benefit
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
