To provide operational and professional leadership to Facilities support staff ensuring the provision of a high quality FM service to the Mersey Care Trust economy across Sites.
To be responsible for the delivery of an appropriate and fit for purpose professional FM service; through effective liaison and the use of appropriate communication channels, appropriately trained staff, the application of performance management systems and procedures and in optimising the use of the available resources.
To oversell the provision of a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment in which patients can be treated and staff can work. Emphasis on overseeing and maintaining safe working conditions and adhering to ridged security factors working to established working procedures, codes of practice and established standards and objectives.
To ensure that appropriate governance arrangements are in place across all locations comprising the area of responsibility and to ensure that appropriate risk assessments and safe systems of work are in place for all components of the hard and soft FM services delivered under the control of the post holder.

management, security, fire safety, H&S signage, cleanliness including external
areas such as grounds and gardens and general operational maintenance
across all sites.

minimise disruption. This will include external suppliers and their
representatives.
- To be responsible for the management of all non-clinical complaints within
problem solving techniques to reduce reoccurrences, as appropriate.
- To be fully aware and trained in the latest Health and Safety requirements in
issues that arise as appropriate and when necessary and through routine
matters, utilising expertise from Fire Safety Service, health and Safety Service
and / or Estates Officers.
To facilitate the equitable use of space and the allocation of any availableaccommodation, where appropriate consulting with users and where
necessary operating as an independent arbitrator. To ensure all MCT
Directorates receive an equitable Facilities Management service within the
site. To liaise with all Local Division and Corporate Service Managers to deliver
an equitable service.
