Criminal Justice Unit Clerk (Ref 24-143) - Middlesbrough

Applications are invited for the post of Criminal Justice Unit (CJU) Clerk, based within the Criminal Justice Unit at Middlesbrough HQ.
If you have a passion for public service and ensuring that fair processes are adhered to and maintained this could be the role for you. You will be part of a dynamic team, including police colleagues and external agencies, contributing to the delivery of justice. In post you will provide general administrative support which will vary from day to day. Duties include:
- Administrative support to the CJU in case progression and provision of relevant and timely information for procedural compliance
- Input, retrieval and verification of data on a number of police systems
- Deal efficiently and professionally with telephone enquiries, written enquiries and electronic correspondence
- Compliance with local and national policies and procedures
- Court attendance may be required on occasion
We are seeking candidates who are organised and methodical, and focussed on providing excellent customer service. You will be able to contribute positively to the team by using your own initiative, suggesting improvements to processes where applicable and demonstrating a problem solving approach.
Applicants will be suited to this post if they have excellent communication skills and proven clerical experience. We are a busy team, so candidates who can work to competing deadlines and prioritise effectively will thrive in this role.
