Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding sessional role where your expertise can make a real difference? Wilderness Way is seeking a dedicated OT to provide specialist, therapeutic support to children within our care.
About the Role
As a Sessional Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Conduct assessments to understand children’s sensory, physical, and functional needs.
- Design and deliver tailored OT interventions that promote emotional regulation, sensory integration and functional independence.
- Work collaboratively with care teams to embed therapeutic strategies into daily routines.
- Provide specialist guidance and training to support teams.
- Contribute to transition planning, ensuring children leave our care equipped with essential skills.
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist who is experienced with working with children.
- Strong understanding of trauma-responsive child-centred approaches.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies to support children with complex needs.
- Passion for working with children who may present behaviours which challenge.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- A flexible, impactful role where you’ll make a difference in children’s lives.
